Pakistan may witness a significant rise in petroleum product prices starting February 16, according to industry sources. Petrol is expected to increase by Rs 4.39 per liter, while diesel could see a surge of Rs 5.40 per liter.
Other petroleum products are also likely to experience price hikes, with kerosene rising by Rs 4 per liter and light diesel oil increasing by Rs 6.55 per liter. These adjustments are anticipated as global oil prices and domestic supply costs impact local fuel markets.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is expected to finalize the decision in consultation with the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister. The government has emphasized that the final hike will consider both market conditions and public interest to minimize disruption to consumers.
Industry analysts warn that the price hike could affect transport costs, electricity production, and general commodity prices, adding further pressure on household budgets across the country.
Motorists and transporters are advised to stay updated with official announcements from OGRA and the Ministry of Finance regarding the exact fuel rates starting February 16.
