Pakistan, Qatar agree to boost security cooperation and ties

During the meeting, both ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral security cooperation and reviewed the regional situation, with a focus on promoting peace and stability.

The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between their interior ministries and agreed to enhance coordination on matters related to internal security.

Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan is committed to deepening cooperation with Qatar in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the field of security. The interior minister also expressed his condolences to Sheikh Khalifa on the passing of his father, former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He paid tribute to the former emir for his valuable contributions to Qatar’s development and progress.

Sheikh Khalifa said Qatar highly values its longstanding relationship with Pakistan and remains committed to working closely with Islamabad to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. The meeting reflects the growing partnership between Pakistan and Qatar, with both countries seeking to expand cooperation in security and other areas of mutual interest.
