New traffic rule: Punjab Traffic Police impose heavy fine for missing indicators
The Punjab Traffic Police has announced strict action against motorcyclists who ride without functional turn indicators. Under the new enforcement drive, riders found violating the rule will face a fine of Rs. 2000.
Authorities have urged all motorcycle users to strictly follow road safety regulations, especially the proper use of indicators while turning or changing lanes.
Road Safety Warning for Motorcycle Riders
Traffic officials emphasized that ignoring indicators is not just a traffic violation but also a major cause of road accidents. Such negligence puts both riders and other road users at serious risk of injury or fatal accidents.
Officials added that installing functional indicators is inexpensive, costing around Rs. 400, yet this small investment can significantly reduce accidents and save lives.

Authorities warned that strict penalties will be imposed without any leniency on those violating traffic rules.
Strict Enforcement Without Exceptions
Officials confirmed that enforcement will be carried out rigorously, and no exceptions will be made for offenders. The campaign aims to promote safer driving habits and reduce preventable road accidents across Punjab.
