NADRA PakID app gets major update with new digital CNIC features
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has released version 5.7.4 of its PakID mobile app, introducing several features aimed at making identity-related services easier and more convenient for citizens.
The latest update includes a dedicated section for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The section is designed to support the future registration and tracking of FIA-related complaints through the PakID platform.
Easier Family Registration
NADRA has also simplified the process of adding family members when a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) contains incomplete family information. The change is expected to make family-related applications smoother for users.
Another improvement allows automatic cropping of signatures. Users can now adjust their signatures more easily while completing applications through the mobile app.
Digital Identity Cards
One of the key additions is the availability of digital identity documents. Users can now access digital versions of their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOPs), and Pakistan Origin Cards (POCs) through the PakID app.
The digital documents are being offered alongside existing printing and delivery services, giving citizens more flexibility in accessing their identity credentials.
NADRA Seeks User Feedback
NADRA has also invited PakID users to submit suggestions for features they would like to see in future updates. The authority said user feedback can help improve the app and expand its digital services.
The latest update reflects NADRA's continued efforts to shift identity-related services toward faster and more convenient digital access.
