Multan declares July 22 holiday for Bahauddin Zakariya Urs
According to a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Dr Faisal Saleem, all government offices, public institutions and district offices across Multan will remain closed on the occasion.
The administration said the holiday has been announced to facilitate devotees and residents wishing to participate in the annual Urs celebrations and other religious activities.
Thousands of devotees from across the country are expected to visit the shrine of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani (RA) to attend prayers, religious gatherings and other events held during the Urs.

Officials have directed all relevant departments to make the necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations and the convenience of visitors.
The annual Urs is one of Multan’s most significant religious events, attracting thousands of devotees and highlighting the city’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage.
