(Web Desk): Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a Rs700 million program to help women learn and earn online, and build careers from home.

Empowering women through digital skills

The initiative focuses on giving women modern skills for financial independence. The Punjab government has introduced ‘e-Learn She Earn’ as a major step to support women’s employment. The program aims to improve economic opportunities for women across the province.

Training for work-from-home opportunities

Thousands of women will receive training in modern digital skills under this program. The goal is to help them start earning on their own without leaving home.

Program duration and eligibility

The one-year program is planned with a cost of Rs700 million and targets women aged 15 to 35. Participants will get free three-month online courses in high-demand fields.

In-demand digital skills included

Training will include digital customer care, graphic design, e-commerce store management, digital marketing, and virtual assistance. These skills are in strong demand in today’s online job market.

Free resources and financial support

Along with free training, selected women will also receive laptops, internet access, and a monthly stipend. This support is meant to make learning easier and more accessible.

Focus on practical and market-ready skills

Officials said the initiative will prepare women with practical and market-ready skills. It will help them work remotely, start online businesses, and take part in the growing digital economy.

Long-term impact and challenges

This program looks like a strong step toward women’s independence. If properly managed, it can change many lives. The real success will depend on how many women actually get jobs after training. Long-term support will be key.
