The Government of Punjab has launched the “Maryam Ko Batayein” helpline 1000 to provide urgent financial assistance of Rs 10000 to deserving families during Ramazan across Punjab.

The initiative, introduced under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aims to deliver fast, transparent, and fully digital cash support to vulnerable citizens facing severe economic hardship. Officials said eligible individuals can receive financial aid within 24 hours after completing verification.

Citizens can apply for assistance by calling helpline 1000, registering through the official web portal, or submitting applications via the mobile app. Applicants must provide their CNIC number, which will be verified through an automated system to ensure transparency and prevent misuse.

Authorities clarified that the program is strictly for individuals not already receiving support from other government schemes. This step ensures the aid reaches those who need it most during the holy month.

Officials added that applicants already registered in the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry will receive payments within 24 hours. Those not registered will first undergo verification and enrollment, which may take up to four days before funds are transferred.

In a separate announcement, the chief minister confirmed that Rs 10000 will be distributed to 4 million families across Punjab during Ramazan. The government said the financial assistance will help families purchase essential ration and meet basic needs with dignity.

Helpline 1000 will also assist citizens with complaints and information regarding the relief program.
