Lower Petrol Prices Offset by Rising Flour and Rice Costs
Market sources say the price of a 50kg flour bag has gone up by Rs. 400, while various rice varieties now cost Rs. 20 to Rs. 30 more per kilogram.
Consumers voice disappointment over the persistent increase in the prices of basic food items, saying the recent decline in fuel prices has brought no meaningful relief.
Instead, the cost of everyday essentials continue to rise, placing greater strain on household finances.
