(Web Desk): Punjab Police have finalized strict security measures as kite flying will be allowed in Lahore on the 6th for limited hours under close monitoring.

Punjab Police have completed comprehensive security arrangements as kite flying will be permitted in Lahore on the 6th under strict conditions and heightened surveillance to ensure public safety.

DIG Operations Faisal said Lahore Police are fully prepared for the occasion, with coordination in place at multiple levels to maintain law and order. He stated that area councillors, traders, and other key stakeholders are actively cooperating with the police to ensure the smooth implementation of the security plan.

According to DIG Faisal, Station House Officers (SHOs) have been directed to secure their respective areas at the local level. Public awareness is also being prioritized, with announcements being made through mosques in collaboration with ulema to clearly inform citizens about permitted activities and strict prohibitions. He emphasized that precautionary measures are being enforced across the city to prevent any untoward incidents.

Punjab Police have deployed full manpower for the operation, supported by extensive use of drones and human intelligence to closely monitor sensitive areas. Authorities say this surveillance will help ensure quick action against any violations and enhance overall safety.

DIG Faisal made it clear that kite flying will not be allowed before the 6th or after 8pm. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the set rules or attempting to disrupt public order. He stressed that public cooperation will play a vital role in the success of the operation and expressed confidence that, with collective efforts, the activity will conclude peacefully. The move follows Punjab’s decision to cautiously revive traditional festivities while prioritizing safety and enforcement.
