According to an official notification, the price of jet fuel has been increased by Rs53.11 per liter, taking the new rate to Rs441.66 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of light diesel oil has been reduced by Rs21.07 per liter, bringing the new rate down to Rs265.84 per liter. The latest revision comes just a day after the government also increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel.
Petrol prices were raised by Rs14.92 per liter, pushing the new rate to Rs414.78 per liter. At the same time, the price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs15 per liter, taking the new rate to Rs414.58 per liter.
The government officially issued a notification confirming the latest changes in petroleum product prices. Officials said the adjustments were made in response to fluctuations in international oil markets and changing import costs.

This is the fourth increase in petroleum prices since tensions linked to the Iran war began affecting global energy markets. The sharp increase in jet fuel prices is expected to raise concerns within the aviation sector, where operating costs are already under pressure.
Economic experts say continued volatility in international oil prices could further affect transportation costs, inflation, and travel expenses in Pakistan. Analysts believe fuel price changes may also affect airline fares and the overall cost of goods in the coming weeks if instability in global markets continues.
