Train services from Balochistan to other provinces have resumed after a two-day suspension for railway track repair and maintenance. The Jaffar Express departed from Quetta for Peshawar on Monday according to its scheduled timetable, restoring an important rail link for passengers.

The temporary suspension had affected passengers travelling between Quetta and other parts of the country. Railway authorities had halted the service on September 5 and 6 to allow repair teams to complete maintenance work on the track.

Quetta-Peshawar train service resumes

The Jaffar Express operates on the Quetta-Peshawar route and provides a key connection between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. With the restoration, passengers travelling from Quetta can once again use the scheduled service toward Peshawar.

The Peshawar-bound train departed Quetta on time, while the Jaffar Express travelling from Peshawar is also scheduled to reach Quetta on Monday.

Pakistan Railways restores operations

The two-day disruption was linked to railway track repair work rather than a permanent suspension of the route. Officials had earlier said services would return to normal once the maintenance work was completed.

The resumption provides relief to passengers who faced travel difficulties during the temporary closure. The development also restores regular intercity rail connectivity between Balochistan and other provinces.
