Islamabad Traffic Police announces diversions for Kashmir Day Walk
Traffic Diversions to Continue Until the Walk Ends
The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued an Islamabad traffic advisory to manage traffic during the Kashmir Day Walk. The diversions will begin at 7 AM and remain in place until the event concludes.
Several major roads will be affected, and commuters may face delays while travelling through the city. The police has advised residents to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes Islamabad officials have recommended.
People travelling to offices, government buildings and other locations should check the affected roads before leaving home. The department has also prepared a special parking plan for participants attending the walk.
Shahrah-e-Jamhuriat and France Turn
Under the announced Islamabad traffic diversions, traffic on Shahrah-e-Jamhuriat, from the Secretariat to France Turn, will be redirected. Motorists have been advised to use Margalla Road as an alternative.
Traffic will also be diverted from Dhoke Dhokri Chowk near Serena Hotel towards France Turn. Drivers can use Embassy Road and Ataturk Road to reach their destinations.
These restrictions may affect people travelling through central Islamabad, particularly during busy morning hours. Using alternative routes Islamabad traffic officials have suggested may help motorists avoid congestion.

Vehicles travelling from FBR Chowk and Waheed Shaheed Chowk towards the Secretariat will face diversions as well. Margalla Road has been recommended for commuters travelling through this area.
Another diversion will affect traffic moving from NADRA Headquarters to Radio Pakistan Chowk. Drivers can use Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road to avoid the affected section.
The Islamabad traffic advisory asks motorists to follow traffic signs and instructions from officers deployed along the routes. Drivers should allow extra time for their journeys and avoid restricted roads.
Special Parking Plan for Participants
The traffic police has arranged special parking facilities for people attending the Kashmir Day Walk. Participants should follow the designated parking arrangements and cooperate with traffic officials to keep roads clear.
The announced Islamabad traffic diversions will remain in place until the walk concludes. Residents are encouraged to check official updates before travelling through affected areas.
