Islamabad petrol pump sealed over alleged fraud
A petrol pump in Islamabad’s Sector I-9 has been sealed after a customer complained of alleged fuel fraud, leading to the arrest of its manager.
According to the Islamabad administration, the customer claimed that the petrol station filled 61 litres of petrol into a vehicle with a fuel tank capacity of only 50 litres.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad said the complaint was received by the Assistant Commissioner (Industrial Area), following which a magistrate was sent to the petrol pump to investigate the matter.

The magistrate verified the complaint on the spot and took immediate action by sealing the petrol pump, arresting the manager and imposing a fine.

The DC Islamabad said the district administration is taking prompt action on public complaints to protect consumers and ensure strict measures against violations.
He added that authorities will continue monitoring businesses and take action against any malpractice to safeguard public rights.
