Authorities have arrested Iman Mazari and Hadi Chattha in connection with the controversial tweets case, officials confirmed. The arrests were made after the suspects were being transferred from the High Court Bar to the District Court. Both Mazari and Chattha, who are lawyers by profession, were reportedly traveling in a High Court Bar van at the time of their arrest.
According to Prosecutor Barrister Fahad, the suspects had been deliberately evading authorities by moving back and forth between the Bar and the High Court premises. Officials allege that Mazari and Chattha were attempting to hide from law enforcement while attending court-related proceedings.
The case revolves around allegedly controversial social media posts that have drawn legal attention and sparked public debate. The arrests signal an intensification of legal action against individuals accused of using social media to spread content deemed problematic by authorities.

Officials emphasized that all suspects will now undergo formal legal proceedings in accordance with Pakistan’s judicial process. They also stressed that the law applies equally to all, including practicing lawyers, and evasion of the court’s process would not be tolerated.
The High Court Bar and District Court authorities coordinated to ensure the safe transfer and custody of the suspects. Legal experts say the case highlights the challenges authorities face in handling high-profile social media cases involving legal professionals. Further investigation is ongoing, and the courts are expected to review the matter in the coming days.
