Illegal foreign nationals repatriation continues in Punjab
The process of repatriating illegally residing foreign nationals across Punjab is continuing under the government’s ongoing policy, with authorities intensifying operations in multiple districts.
According to a spokesperson for Punjab Police, a total of 35,216 foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, have been deported from Lahore and other parts of the province so far. At present, 208 individuals are being held at different holding centres while awaiting repatriation.
The spokesperson added that among those deported, 13,766 were men, 7,061 were women, and 14,389 were children, highlighting the large scale of the ongoing operation. Official data further revealed that 10,954 deported individuals had proof of residence, while 11,131 were Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders. In addition, 13,131 individuals were found to be residing illegally in the country.

Punjab Police stated that the operation is being conducted strictly in line with government policy and legal procedures. District administrations and security agencies are jointly overseeing registration, verification, and repatriation processes across the province.
Authorities also said that proper facilities are being provided at holding centres for the identification and processing of individuals. Relevant departments remain active to ensure the repatriation process continues in an orderly and secure manner. Officials indicated that the drive will continue as part of broader efforts to regulate residency rules and ensure compliance with immigration laws.
