Hajj Review Committee updated on pilgrim services in Makkah and Madina
A meeting of the Hajj Review Committee was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf to review arrangements and facilities for Pakistani pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
Officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs gave detailed briefings on accommodation, transport, medical services, and overall Hajj operations in Makkah and Madina.
The committee was informed that five dispensaries have been established in Makkah according to the number of pilgrims arriving for Hajj. Authorities have also arranged five bus stands for transport services to Haram.
Secretary Religious Affairs Abrar Ahmed Mirza, Additional Secretary Dr Sajid Mahmood Chohan, and Joint Secretary Hajj Muhammad Bakhsh Sangi attended the meeting and shared updates on ongoing preparations.
Chief Coordinator Makkah Dr Mirza Ali Mehsud, Coordinator Makkah Zulfiqar Khan, and Hajj directors from Makkah and Madina also joined the meeting via Zoom from Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousuf directed officials to remain fully alert throughout the Hajj operation and resolve pilgrims’ issues without delay.
He also advised pilgrims to follow Saudi laws and regulations during their stay and represent Pakistan with dignity and discipline. Officials informed the committee that more than 20,000 Pakistani pilgrims had arrived in Madina by Tuesday.
The Director of Madina said that over 11,000 pilgrims have already visited Riyad-ul-Jannah, one of the holiest sites for Muslims visiting Madina.
Head of the Pakistan Hajj Medical Mission Col Dr. Tauqeer briefed the committee that one hospital and three dispensaries are currently operational in Madina to provide healthcare services to pilgrims. The government said all efforts are being made to ensure comfortable accommodation, transport, and medical facilities for Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj.
