Hajj 2027: Today is the deadline to pay second instalment
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged all remaining applicants under the Government Hajj Scheme 2027 to deposit their second instalment by the October 20 deadline.
Pilgrims who fail to complete the payment on time risk having their Hajj applications cancelled, according to the ministry. The deadline marks the end of the payment period that began on October 5.
The ministry has asked applicants to complete the required formalities without delay and check that their payments have been recorded successfully. According to the report, nearly 97,000 prospective pilgrims have paid their second instalment, bringing the total amount received to Rs61 billion.
Nearly 97,000 pilgrims have paid their dues
The reported payment figures show that applicants have used both digital and traditional banking methods to deposit their Hajj dues.
A total of 45,245 applicants reportedly made payments through 1LINK, while 3,685 used debit or credit cards. Another 47,563 applicants paid through manual bank challans.
Together, these figures account for 96,493 payments, which is close to the reported total of nearly 97,000 pilgrims. The collection of Rs61 billion reflects the amount reportedly received through the second-instalment process. The figures should be confirmed with the ministry before publication.
How pilgrims can pay the second instalment
The ministry has advised pilgrims to use the official Digital Hajj Portal or the Pak Hajj mobile application to complete their payment. Applicants can follow the instructions on the portal to choose an available payment method.
The reported options include 1LINK, bank cards, and manual bank challans.
Pilgrims should ensure that they enter the correct information and retain their payment receipts or transaction records.
After making a payment, they should check the official portal or application to confirm that the transaction has been recorded. Anyone experiencing a problem should contact the relevant authorities through official channels rather than rely on unofficial agents or unverified payment instructions.
A medical fitness certificate is also mandatory
Paying the second instalment is not the only requirement for government-scheme pilgrims. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has made uploading a verified medical fitness certificate compulsory before the second payment can be submitted.

Pilgrims must download the prescribed form from the official Hajj portal, have it examined and verified by an authorised doctor, and upload the signed certificate to the system.
Applicants should make sure the document is complete and properly verified before proceeding. The ministry has stressed that pilgrims must fulfil the medical requirement as well as the payment condition within the prescribed process.
What happens if the deadline is missed?
The ministry has warned that applications may be cancelled if the second instalment is not paid by October 20.
According to its earlier guidance, the amount already deposited by an applicant whose application is cancelled will be refunded to the applicant’s account. Pilgrims should check the official instructions for the applicable process.
Applicants who have not completed their payment should act promptly and confirm the status of their application.
They should also ensure that their medical certificate has been uploaded and accepted by the system. Completing both requirements can help prevent avoidable problems during the Hajj preparation process.
Pak Hajj app provides official updates
The ministry has encouraged intending pilgrims to use the Pak Hajj application for updates, instructions, and information about the payment process. The official Digital Hajj Portal also provides information for applicants under the government scheme.
Pilgrims should rely on these official channels for the latest instructions, especially if they have questions about payment confirmation, medical documentation, or their application status. With the deadline approaching, checking the correct information can help applicants avoid errors and unnecessary delays.
