Hajj 2027 registration begins as Pakistan shifts to full digital system
The Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson announced that online registration for Hajj 2027 has officially begun, marking a major step towards a fully digital, paperless Hajj management system developed in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board. The system integrates an online portal and the Pak Hajj mobile application to simplify the registration process for applicants across the country. According to initial data, 20,124 individuals completed their registration within the first 24 hours, while more than 30,000 users created accounts on the official portal. Hajj 2027 registration has been declared mandatory for both government and private pilgrimage schemes. Authorities have directed applicants to form family groups during registration to ensure proper coordination and verification.
During the pre-registration phase, applicants must provide a digital photograph along with CNIC or B-form details. A valid Pakistani passport will be required in the next phase of the registration process. Officials said the initiative aims to make the entire Hajj application system more transparent, efficient and accessible for citizens across Pakistan reducing manual paperwork and delays in processing applications through a centralized digital platform.
They further added that technical support is available through the Pak Hajj app and online help channels to assist users in completing their registration smoothly while ensuring data accuracy and security through verified systems. This move marks a significant shift towards digital governance in religious pilgrimage management in Pakistan improving convenience for millions of intending pilgrims. We expect further expansion in future digital services and updates soon for all applicants.
