ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The government has announced a fresh revision in fuel rates, increasing petrol prices while reducing diesel prices for the next 24 hours.

Petrol becomes costlier, diesel gets cheaper

The government has released a new notification announcing changes in fuel prices across the country. Under the latest revision, the petrol price Pakistan has increased, while the diesel price Pakistan has been reduced.

According to the Petroleum Division, petrol has been increased by Rs4,45 per litre. At the same time, diesel has become Rs2 cheaper per litre.

The revised petrol price today now stands at Rs333,01 per litre. Meanwhile, the diesel price today has been reduced to Rs383,86 per litre.

New prices effective for only one day

Officials confirmed that these revised fuel rates will remain in effect for the next 24 hours only.

This means motorists and transporters will follow the updated petrol price Pakistan and diesel price Pakistan until the government announces another revision.

The temporary pricing system has led to frequent changes in fuel costs, leaving many consumers closely watching every official announcement.

Yesterday’s prices were different

The latest revision comes only a day after the government had reduced both petrol and diesel prices.

In the previous notification, petrol had been cut by Rs3,39 per litre, while diesel had become Rs4,07 cheaper.

Following that reduction, the petrol price today had been fixed at Rs328,56 per litre, while the diesel price today stood at Rs385,86 per litre.

Now, petrol has become more expensive again, while diesel has received another reduction.

Mixed impact for consumers

The increase in the petrol price Pakistan is expected to affect private vehicle owners and motorcycle riders the most.

On the other hand, the reduction in the diesel price Pakistan may provide some relief to transport companies, commercial vehicle operators and businesses that rely heavily on diesel-powered vehicles.

However, consumers continue to face uncertainty because fuel prices are now changing more frequently than before.

Government continues daily fuel revisions

The government has recently adopted a system of making short-term adjustments to fuel prices instead of waiting for longer review periods.

As a result, motorists are advised to keep checking the latest petrol price today and diesel price today before filling their tanks, as rates may change again within a short period.
