(Web Desk): Pakistan secures sufficient petroleum reserves, dismissing fears of shortages ahead of Eid and beyond.

The government of Pakistan has assured citizens that there will be no shortage of petroleum products across the country, with sufficient reserves secured until mid-April. Officials said these measures have been taken under the national energy conservation plan to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability for the public.

Current records show that domestic refineries hold approximately 392,000 metric tons of crude oil, while the country’s daily crude consumption is around 36,000 metric tons. High-speed diesel reserves have reached 404,000 metric tons, sufficient for 27 days of demand, given the daily consumption of 19,000 metric tons. Petrol reserves also remain stable at 564,000 metric tons, covering 27 days of average daily consumption of 20,500 metric tons.

LPG stocks are currently 54,000 metric tons, with daily consumption around 6,000 metric tons. Aviation fuel reserves are maintained for 14 days, ensuring continuous commercial flight operations.

The government has also arranged future imports to maintain supply stability. This month, 630,000 metric tons of crude oil, 151,000 metric tons of diesel, and 285,000 metric tons of petrol are scheduled for import. For April, additional shipments have been secured, including 270,000 metric tons of petrol from Saudi Aramco.
