ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): A major relief package is on the way as the government has decided to release two installments under the Fuel Subsidy Scheme, raising hopes of a combined Rs4,000 fuel subsidy for thousands of eligible beneficiaries.

The federal government has approved the release of the fifth and sixth fuel subsidy payments during June 2026.

The decision is expected to benefit motorcycle owners, transport operators, and farmers who have been receiving assistance under the Pakistan fuel scheme.

The announcement was made following a review meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.

During the meeting, officials reviewed the performance of the Fuel Subsidy Scheme and discussed ways to improve the delivery of fuel subsidy payments to deserving citizens.

According to an official statement, four installments have already been successfully distributed over the past two months.

With two more installments now scheduled for June, many beneficiaries could receive a combined Rs4,000 fuel subsidy, providing significant motorcyclists relief amid ongoing fuel expenses.

Officials said the June 2026 subsidy package is aimed at ensuring that motorcycle owners and other eligible groups continue to receive financial support.

The government believes the Pakistan fuel scheme is helping reduce the burden of transportation costs for low-income households.

During the meeting, Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Fuel Subsidy Scheme and directed authorities to maintain effective implementation.

He also stressed the importance of ensuring that fuel subsidy payments reach all deserving beneficiaries without unnecessary delays.

The discussion also focused on transparency, accountability, and coordination with provincial governments. Authorities were instructed to strengthen monitoring systems so that the June 2026 subsidy reaches eligible recipients efficiently.

The latest move has generated optimism among motorcycle owners, many of whom rely on their bikes for daily travel and work.

For these individuals, the expected Rs4,000 fuel subsidy could provide meaningful motorcyclists relief at a time when fuel costs remain a major concern.
