(Web Desk): Multan public transport system has been launched as the first fleet of modern electric buses reached the city.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has introduced an environment-friendly transport system for Multan. The initiative focuses on providing comfortable and reliable travel for citizens. The project aims to improve daily travel and offer better facilities.

Officials said the first phase includes 10 buses now operating in the city. This marks the beginning of a larger plan to upgrade public transport services.

In the next phase, more than 50 additional buses will be added to the system. This expansion is expected to improve coverage and reduce travel issues across different areas.

The project is part of the government’s wider strategy to modernize urban transport. Authorities want to address traffic problems and improve mobility for residents.

Once fully active, the system will provide a more organized alternative to existing transport options. It is also expected to reduce environmental pollution through cleaner buses.

The chief minister called this step important for improving public services in Multan. She said modern transport solutions will help make daily travel easier and more efficient.
