In Bajaur and Bannu, local religious leaders announced Eidul Fitr celebrations. These announcements came after receiving multiple moon sighting reports in the two districts.
In Bajaur, Mufti Ihsanul Haq declared Eid, while in Bannu, District Khateeb Mufti Abdul Ghani also confirmed Eid after several testimonies were received.

However, at the national level, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held an important meeting in Islamabad under the leadership of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. Representatives from SUPARCO and the Ministry of Science and Technology also attended the session.
Meetings of zonal committees were also held in different parts of the country. Officials said that no confirmed moon sighting was reported from any region, and the testimonies received did not meet the required religious standards.
After the meeting, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced that Eidul Fitr will be celebrated across Pakistan on Saturday, as the Shawwal moon was not sighted.
Meanwhile, officials in Lahore and other parts of Punjab also reported cloudy weather and rain, which made moon sighting difficult. Authorities confirmed that no valid evidence of moon sighting was received from these areas.

This situation has once again created a difference in Eid celebrations, where some regions will celebrate earlier while the rest of the country will follow the official announcement.
