CM Sohail Afridi moves to reconcile with dissident PTI MPAs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has initiated efforts to reconcile with dissatisfied members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial assembly in a bid to ease growing internal party tensions and strengthen unity within the party ranks.
According to party sources, the chief minister has intensified direct engagement with disgruntled lawmakers to address their concerns and align them with the party’s policy direction. As part of these efforts, he has held multiple meetings and increased consultations aimed at resolving grievances.
In a recent development, CM Sohail Afridi visited the residence of PTI MPA Abdul Ghani Afridi late at night, where a detailed meeting was held between the two leaders. The discussion reportedly focused on development initiatives in the Khyber district, public welfare issues, and government measures to address local challenges.
Abdul Ghani Afridi, in his statement, confirmed that a range of issues related to regional development and public welfare were discussed during the meeting.

Sources further revealed that the chief minister has also been in contact with several other dissident MPAs via telephone to directly listen to their concerns and work toward possible solutions. The party’s central leadership has also been informed of the growing dissatisfaction among some members and has urged that their concerns be addressed through proper representation and practical steps.
Meanwhile, CM Sohail Afridi has convened an important meeting of the PTI parliamentary party scheduled for this evening, directing all members to ensure their participation. The meeting is expected to focus on party affairs, political strategy regarding the release of party founder Imran Khan, and the future political roadmap.
Reports suggest that dissenting members are also likely to attend the session, where they may present their concerns and suggestions related to governance and law-and-order issues.
