During a high-level meeting, officials shared progress on key programs, especially those focused on children and critically ill patients. The update showed that thousands of people are already benefiting from these initiatives.
Under the children’s heart surgery program, 16,625 children have been registered, while more than 11,000 successful surgeries have been completed. In public hospitals alone, 7,664 cardiac procedures have been carried out for children.
Officials said private hospitals are also part of the program. So far, 3,802 underprivileged children have received treatment in private facilities at the government’s expense.

The CM Special Transplant Program has also made progress, with 2,001 patients registered and 1,574 successful transplants completed. This includes 255 liver transplants provided completely free of cost, with the government spending about Rs6,500,000 on each procedure.
The program has also supported 799 kidney transplants, 460 cochlear implants, 32 corneal transplants, and 28 bone marrow transplants, all provided free to patients.
In the dialysis program, 38,125 patients have been registered, and more than 1,500,000 dialysis procedures have been conducted so far, showing the scale of support being provided.
Maryam Nawaz said the government is committed to offering the best healthcare facilities to all citizens. She emphasized that both rich and poor children deserve equal care and treatment.
