Easter is being celebrated all over the world and Pakistan passionately. Christians celebrate Easter for commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, reflecting faith, new beginnings and triumph of good over evil.

Churches have made special arrangements and decorations for the occasion, with colorful flags and lights symbolizing joy and celebration. Special prayers have also been organized.

Strict security arrangements have been made to ensure safe and secure occasion for worshippers.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm greetings to the Christian community in Pakistan and around the world.

In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari said that Easter represents compassion, hope, renewal, and rebirth, emphasizing the lasting victory of good over evil.

He lauded the Christian community in Pakistan for their significant contributions to society, noting that their role is vital and worthy of recognition and respect.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Easter carries a universal message of love and renewed hope. He highlighted the occasion’s values of sacrifice, forgiveness, peace, tolerance, and brotherhood, emphasizing their importance for social cohesion and interfaith harmony. Sharif also acknowledged the Christian community’s active role in Pakistan’s economic and social development and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for all religious groups.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi extended heartfelt Easter greetings to Christians in Pakistan and worldwide, calling the day a symbol of hope, love, sacrifice, and new beginnings. He praised the community’s contributions to the country’s development and urged citizens to strengthen mutual respect, brotherhood, and interfaith harmony.

Naqvi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting minority rights and the security of places of worship, stressing that promoting unity and peace is a shared responsibility. He concluded by praying that Easter brings peace, unity, and progress to the nation, highlighting that the country’s strength lies in love, respect, and togetherness despite religious differences.
