BISP advises beneficiaries to use Benazir SIMs only
Officials SIM’s only
The BISP beneficiaries have been advised to remain careful about misleading information surrounding the Benazir SIM and BISP digital wallet system.
The Benazir Income Support Programme said people should rely only on official channels for information about SIM issuance and digital payments. The warning comes as the government expands its digital payment system for beneficiaries.
Avoid unofficial sources
According to the programme, BISP beneficiaries should contact their nearest BISP office if they need help with the Benazir SIM registration process.
The BISP warning is aimed at preventing beneficiaries from falling for rumours, misinformation or possible scams.
The Benazir SIM is being used as part of the digital payment system. Beneficiaries are therefore advised not to hand over their phones, CNIC details or other personal information to unauthorized people.
BISP has also stressed that its services are provided free of charge. Anyone demanding money for a Benazir SIM registration or related service should be treated with caution.

Digital wallet system expands
The government is working to move more BISP payments toward digital channels.
The BISP digital wallet system is intended to make payments easier and more transparent for beneficiaries.
The Benazir Income Support Programme has already been expanding its digital payment arrangements, with official information showing continued work on the Social Protection Wallet.
The government has also announced plans to provide digital wallets to all eligible beneficiaries during 2026.
This shift could reduce the need for beneficiaries to depend on traditional payment methods and make it easier to track payments.
How the Benazir SIM helps
The Benazir SIM can help beneficiaries receive important payment-related messages.
Under the digital system, beneficiaries can receive SMS notifications when money is transferred to their wallets. They can also receive confirmation after withdrawing funds.
This makes the BISP digital payments system more useful for checking whether payments have been received correctly.
The BISP digital payments system is also part of a wider government effort to increase digital financial services across Pakistan.

What beneficiaries should do
The BISP beneficiaries should visit an official BISP office whenever they need assistance with their Benazir wallet or SIM.
They should not trust social media messages or individuals claiming to arrange the service privately.
The BISP warning is particularly important because unauthorized people may try to obtain personal information by promising faster registration.
The Benazir Income Support Programme has urged beneficiaries to verify information before taking any action.
