Ban imposed on unregistered Qingqi rickshaws, loaders

The City Traffic Police in Lahore have imposed a strict ban on unregistered Qingqi rickshaws and loaders from entering model roads, including Canal Road, to improve traffic flow and ensure public safety. Officials said the step has been taken to protect citizens’ lives and property while ensuring the smooth movement of vehicles on busy city roads.

Under the new enforcement plan, all unregistered or number-plate-less Qingqi rickshaws and loaders will not be allowed to operate on major roads. Traffic police have also launched an awareness campaign, stating that model roads will remain completely off-limits for such vehicles, especially Canal Road.

Authorities said unregistered vehicles not only cause traffic congestion but also create serious problems in identifying drivers in case of accidents or criminal incidents. The City Traffic Police confirmed that the ban is effective immediately, and strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating the rules.

Citizens and drivers have been urged to register their vehicles properly and follow traffic laws to help improve road safety and discipline in the city. Officials also stressed that better road safety can only be achieved if traffic rules are strictly followed by all road users.
