Balochistan announces public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi

The Home and Tribal Affairs Department has issued an official notification confirming the holiday. The decision will allow people across the province to observe 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal through religious gatherings and other activities.

Government offices and schools to remain closed

According to the notification, all government and semi-government offices across Balochistan will remain closed on Wednesday. Educational institutions across the province will also observe the holiday.

Routine government and academic activities will therefore remain suspended for the day. Essential services and departments operating under separate arrangements may continue functioning according to their respective requirements.

Holiday follows federal announcement

The Balochistan government said the decision was taken in line with the federal government’s announcement of a nationwide public holiday. The federal government has declared August 26 a public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

Balochistan has issued its own notification to formally implement the holiday across the province. The announcement means government offices and educational institutions will follow the holiday schedule on the occasion.

Religious celebrations planned across Balochistan

Various religious activities are being planned across Balochistan to mark 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Processions, Milad gatherings and Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) conferences are expected to be held in different cities and areas.
