AirSial becomes Pakistan’s second-largest airline with 12 aircraft
Private airline AirSial, backed by the Sialkot business community, has become Pakistan’s second-largest airline by fleet size after adding another aircraft. The airline’s fleet has reached 12 aircraft following the arrival of a new Airbus A320 at Karachi Airport.
The aircraft arrived from abroad and is expected to be used for both domestic and international operations. The latest addition comes as AirSial looks to expand its network and increase its presence in Pakistan’s growing aviation market.
AirSial fleet reaches 12 aircraft
The arrival of the new Airbus A320 has taken AirSial’s total fleet to 12 aircraft.
According to the available fleet figures, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) remains the country’s largest airline by fleet size, with 32 aircraft.
AirSial now ranks second with 12 aircraft, followed by Airblue with 11 planes.
South Air ranks fifth with two ATR aircraft, according to the available figures.
The latest fleet addition strengthens AirSial’s position among Pakistan’s private airlines as the carrier prepares for further expansion.
Airline plans to add 18 more aircraft
AirSial management has decided to add more aircraft as part of its plans to expand flight operations and introduce more routes.
According to an AirSial spokesperson, the airline has reached an agreement with a foreign aviation company for 19 aircraft. Of these, 18 aircraft will be added to AirSial’s fleet.
The planned additions would significantly increase the airline’s fleet size and give it greater capacity to operate more flights. The expansion could also allow AirSial to consider additional domestic and international destinations as the new aircraft become available.
