
The government has announced an increase in the price of petrol by one rupee per liter, but there has been no change in the price of diesel.
The price of petrol has increased from Rs252.63 to Rs253.63 per liter.
According to the notification, there has been no change in the price of diesel and the price of diesel remains at Rs254.64 per liter.
It should be noted that sources had previously said that there was a possibility of a reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel, taking into account oil prices in the global market.

According to reports, the price of petrol might have reduced by Rs0.60 to one rupee per liter, which was likely to reduce the current price from Rs252.63 to Rs251.63.
The price of high-speed diesel was expected to decrease by up to Rs0.28 per liter, while the prices of kerosene and light diesel oil were likely to increase slightly. But the final decision resulted differently.
It should be noted that OGRA reviews petroleum prices every 15 days, taking into account international market data and domestic fiscal policies.
