
There is a plan to spend Rs1,000 billion on development projects in the next fiscal year. The provinces will spend Rs609 billion more than the current fiscal year. The federal government will borrow Rs270 billion from abroad for development projects. The four provinces will also borrow Rs802 billion from abroad. The Punjab government will spend Rs1,190 billion on development projects. The Sindh government has prepared a development program of Rs887 billion next year. In addition, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa plans to spend Rs440 billion. The Balochistan government will spend Rs280 billion on development projects next year.
According to sources, it is proposed to set the economic growth target at 4.2 percent for the next fiscal year. This year, the economic growth rate was 2.68 percent compared to the target of 3.6 percent. It is proposed to set the inflation target at 7.5 percent in the next fiscal year.
Next year, the agricultural sector growth target will be set at 4.5 percent. The target for important crops including wheat and rice is proposed to be set at 6.7 percent. The cotton ginning target is likely to be set at 7 percent, and the livestock target is likely to be set at 4.2 percent.

The new budget proposes to set the target for the industrial sector at 4.4 percent, while the target for large industries is 3.5 percent, the target for mining is 3 percent, and the target for electricity, gas, and water supply is likely to be set at 3.5 percent.
It is proposed to set the growth rate of the construction sector at 3.8% next year.
The target for the growth of the services sector is likely to be set at 4 percent, national savings at 14.3 percent, investment as a percentage of GDP at 14.7 percent, current account deficit target for the next fiscal year at 0.4 percent, public investment target at 3.2 percent and private investment target at 9.8 percent.
