ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced important regulations for the 2025 Haj pilgrimage.

According to the new rules, women will not be allowed to perform Haj without the permission of their husbands or parents. They will need written consent from their parents or husband to travel to Saudi Arabia, especially if they are traveling alone.

According to the conditions set by the Islamic Ideological Council, women can perform Haj if they are traveling with a trusted group and their dignity and honour are not at risk.

It is noteworthy that in 2021, Saudi Arabia lifted the ban on women performing Haj alone as part of the government’s efforts to promote women s rights.

Another significant change in the new policy is that children under the age of 12 will not be allowed to perform Haj. Previously, such children were permitted to travel to Saudi Arabia, but the Saudi government has now imposed a ban on this. Additionally, the use of vaccines approved by Saudi Arabia has been made mandatory for pilgrims to meet health and safety requirements.

These measures are part of the Saudi government’s commitment to making the Haj pilgrimage safer and more convenient.
