ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Islamabad announces 30-day free transport as the government rolls out a relief plan to ease the burden of rising inflation on citizens.

The decision was made on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, aiming to support citizens during a time of increasing inflation. The move is expected to benefit thousands of daily commuters.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the free transport service will start from tomorrow and continue for the next 30 days. During this period, people will be able to travel on government buses without paying any fare.

He said the government will bear the full cost of this initiative, which is estimated at around Rs350 million. This step is part of efforts to reduce financial pressure on the public.

Authorities have been instructed to ensure that the service starts without delay. The district administration and transport departments are preparing to implement the plan smoothly.
