Saudi Arabia has introduced a new initiative to make the Hajj and Umrah system more efficient and convenient for pilgrims. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially launched the “Jai Lil Umrah” (Umrah Departure) campaign, aimed at guiding visitors and providing comprehensive support throughout their journey. The initiative seeks to make the Umrah experience safer, smoother, and more enjoyable for pilgrims from around the world.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the campaign focuses on offering pilgrims detailed information on services, guidelines, and proper conduct to ensure a seamless experience. The move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives and is also part of preparations for the busy Umrah season during Ramadan.
Reports indicate that the number of international pilgrims visiting Saudi Arabia has already crossed 11.8 million since the start of the year 1447 Hijri. With such high influx, the need for better guidance and facilities has become more critical.

The “Jai Lil Umrah” campaign will continue until the end of Ramadan, providing essential information through digital platforms. Pilgrims will receive guidance on all stages of their journey, including arrival in the Kingdom, accommodation, performing Umrah rituals, and safe return to their home countries.
The campaign covers airports, border crossing points, transport stations, residential areas near the holy mosques, and historical and cultural sites. Information will be available in six or more languages to ensure pilgrims from across the globe can navigate the Umrah process without difficulty.
Officials say this initiative reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to improving pilgrim services and promoting a seamless, safe, and culturally enriched Umrah experience for visitors worldwide.
