Under the security measures, the government blocked all roads in Islamabad and provincial capital with containers. In response, the PTI Lahore leadership decided to record protests at Lahore s Batti Chowk.
According to PTI Lahore sources, party’s Secretary-General Salman Akram Raja will lead the protest. The party sources added that protests would be recorded in all districts of Punjab, with party workers taking to the streets in their respective cities. If the government decides to open up the routes, PTI workers will then march towards Islamabad.
As the PTI stands firm on it protest call, the party has announced that on November 24, the workers will stage protest at the district and tehsil levels, and if the government allows it, the protest will continue indefinitely. This decision was made by the central leadership to make the PTI s protest agenda more effective and pile up pressure on the government to release Imran Khan.
