Her spokesperson Mashal Yousafzai confirmed that Bushra Bibi would not participate in protest due to her deteriorating health.

The sources claimed that incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan sent a message to Bushra Bibi to stay away from political activities. Earlier, Bushra Bibi was very active in the party affairs since November 1, chairing several party meetings in Peshawar.

She also presided over the party meetings to review the arrangements of protest in Islamabad for the release of Imran Khan.

Earlier, Bushra Bibi made allegedly controversial remarks about brotherly country Saudi Arabia, claiming its role in ouster of Imran Khan-led government in 2022.

After the video statement, multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered against Bushra Bibi under the Telegraph Act of 1885.

The complainants argued that her video statement was an attempt to damage the relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, the government has closed off the entry and exist points of Islamabad and Lahore amidst PTI protest.

PTI Lahore leadership has decided to stage protest at Batti chowk. Party sources said that the protest in Lahore would be led by PTI Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja.

According to party sources, PTI supporters will hold protest in their cities in Punjab. If government opens the roads leading to Islamabad, then they will join Islamabad protest.
