Tenure of senators to expire on 11 March 2030

(Web Desk): The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced that the tenure of senators elected in April 2024 and July 2025 will end on 11 March, 2030.
The electoral body has issued a notification in this regard.
According to ECP’s notification, the time period of the senators elected from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Balochistan and Islamabad will be completed on 11 March, 2030.

Earlier, the Election Commission released a notification regarding completion of tenure of fsenator on 08 April, 2030. The Senate elections were supposed to be held in March 2024, but were delayed by a month to April.
In the matter of reserved seats, the senate elections for the seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa were also delayed.
