Web Desk: A strong debate broke out in the National Assembly after lawmakers criticized the latest petrol price hike Pakistan has witnessed in recent days.

The issue was raised through a call attention notice, where opposition members questioned the government over rising fuel costs and increasing taxes on petroleum products.

During the heated National Assembly petrol debate, lawmakers argued that the public is already struggling with inflation and cannot bear more financial pressure.

Naeema Kishwer Khan claimed that the latest petrol price hike Pakistan was linked to the failure of tax collection authorities.
