PTI internal rift deepens as dissident lawmakers refuse talks with CM
Sources said the chief minister invited the unhappy members for discussions in an attempt to calm tensions inside the party. However, PTI dissident lawmakers rejected the invitation and decided to continue consultations separately.
According to insiders, the disagreement mainly revolves around PTI cabinet expansion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Several lawmakers are reportedly unhappy with the inclusion and exclusion of certain members in the provincial cabinet.
To control the situation, Chief Minister Suhail Afridi has reportedly assigned three provincial ministers the responsibility of contacting PTI dissident lawmakers and convincing them to end differences within the party.
Sources further claimed that the dissident members have called an important meeting in Peshawar on Monday. The gathering is expected to remain secret and only selected lawmakers will participate.
The PTI internal rift is believed to have widened after complaints regarding development funds and political decision-making inside the provincial government Some lawmakers reportedly feel ignored in recent administrative matters.

According to sources, the participants will present several demands during the meeting. These may include changes in PTI cabinet expansion, removal of certain “favorite” figures from key positions and a clearer method for distributing development funds.
The lawmakers are also expected to demand stronger efforts for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan Sources claimed that members associated with the Ali Amin Gandapur group may also join the meeting, adding further political importance to the session.
Political observers believe the PTI internal rift could create challenges for the provincial leadership if differences continue to grow. The upcoming gathering may play a key role in shaping the party’s strategy in the province.

After the closed-door meeting, PTI dissident lawmakers are expected to hold a media briefing to publicly explain their concerns and future plans regarding PTI cabinet expansion and party affairs.
