Pakistan Embassy suddenly suspends passport processing in Saudi Arabia, UAE
According to official notices, passport processing services at Pakistan’s foreign missions have been suspended until further notice. Officials said the problem is related to technical issues at the headquarters in Islamabad. The sudden disruption has left many overseas Pakistanis waiting for fresh instructions.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Saudi Arabia said the suspension applies to all Pakistan foreign missions. It added that the return of services will be announced through official social media platforms.
In a separate notice, the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi also confirmed a temporary halt in passport processing services. The mission said the suspension was caused by technical and maintenance reasons.
The embassy informed the Pakistani community in the United Arab Emirates that the service is currently unavailable. It said the community will be informed immediately once the issue is resolved and normal operations restart.

Applicants have been advised to either apply for passports online or wait for further instructions from the embassy. Officials have asked people to follow only official updates and avoid relying on unverified information.
