Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder successfully underwent an eye operation at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad, officials confirmed on Saturday.
According to Rana Imran Sikandar, Executive Director of PIMS, the PTI founder reported reduced vision in his right eye, prompting a thorough medical examination. A senior ophthalmologist initially conducted a detailed assessment at Adiala Jail, where all necessary medical tests were performed.

Following the preliminary check-up, doctors recommended further treatment at PIMS for a specialized eye procedure. With the founder’s consent, he was transferred to PIMS, where the eye operation was performed successfully.
The procedure lasted approximately 20 minutes, after which he was discharged. Rana Imran Sikandar confirmed that the PTI founder’s medical condition is stable, and the surgery went smoothly without complications.
This development comes amid heightened public interest in the PTI founder’s health, with family members and party supporters closely monitoring updates. PIMS officials emphasized that the medical care provided was routine and precautionary, highlighting the professionalism of the hospital staff.
