Pakistan’s military spokesperson issued a strong and clear message on Friday, declaring that no narrative aimed at creating distance between the people and the armed forces will be allowed to succeed. He stressed that there is “no room for ambiguity anymore” and that “no narrative will work now.”
Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Defence Forces and said the nation must reject divisive rhetoric. He stated that the narrative of a single individual has become a threat to national security, adding, “One man believes that if he is not in power, nothing else should exist.”
He further said that the purpose of the press conference was to highlight internal threats and remind the nation that politics should now be set aside in matters of national security. “Politics is over when it comes to the safety of Pakistan,” he remarked, urging all political actors to keep the military away from political disputes.

The DG ISPR said that Pakistan Army would not allow anyone to drive wedges between the institution and the people. He maintained that attempts to manipulate public opinion through false narratives would fail. “You can fool some people for some time, but not everyone,” he added.
He emphasized that certain individuals are “prisoners of their own ego” and believe that the country cannot function without them, which, according to him, is harmful for stability.
