Adil Raja posted a written apology on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), admitting that his June 2022 allegations against Brigadier Naseer were false and defamatory.
The court ruled on October 9, 2025, that Raja’s claims were baseless. He has been ordered to pay £50,000 in damages to Brigadier Naseer that cover legal expenses, and also immediately to pay £260,000 as interim costs.

Raja admitted he had no defense for the false accusations made between June 14 and June 29, 2022. The court also instructed that his apology be displayed prominently on all social media accounts for 28 days before December 22, 2025.

The High Court declared that Raja’s statements about Punjab elections, alleged meetings, and “regime change” attempts were entirely fabricated. His intent was deemed malicious, aimed at character assassination, and had no connection with reality.
The court warned against repeating such false claims, noting that failure to comply could lead to contempt of court penalties, including fines or jail.
