(Web Desk): A UK High Court has ordered YouTuber Adil Raja to apologise publicly and pay £310,000 in damages and legal costs to Brigadier Naseer.

In a major legal ruling, the London High Court has ordered YouTuber Adil Raja to publicly apologise to retired Brigadier Rashid Naseer for defamation. The apology must remain posted on Raja’s X, Facebook, YouTube, and official website pages for 28 days.

The court also directed Raja to pay a total of £310,000 by December 22, 2025. This includes £50,000 in damages and £260,000 in interim legal costs. Additional court expenses will also be Raja’s responsibility.

The defamation case concerned ten posts published on social media platforms, in which Raja accused Brigadier Naseer of taking control of the Lahore High Court, influencing elections, bribing politicians, and manipulating police actions against PTI candidates. The court declared all these allegations baseless.

Justice Richard Spearman KC also issued a strict injunction preventing Raja from repeating or implying similar claims in the future. The order warns that any violation could lead to contempt proceedings, including fines or imprisonment.

Raja previously attempted to appeal the October judgment, but the High Court rejected his request. His legal team has indicated plans to take the case to the Court of Appeal.

Brigadier Naseer attended the court proceedings, while Raja was represented by his lawyers. The judge confirmed that the apology must be court-approved and pinned at the top of all Raja’s media platforms for the full duration.

The case highlights the legal risks associated with making unverified allegations on social media. It reinforces that public figures and former officials have legal protection against defamatory content.
