“Felicitations to Narendra Modi on taking oath as the Prime Minister of India,” the prime minister said in a post on X.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narendra Modi was sworn in as India’s prime minister for the third term in a grand ceremony at the presidential palace in Delhi on Sunday.
Taking the oath, the 73-year-old BJP leader said he would "do right to all manner of people without affection or ill-will".
In March last, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Narendra Modi for felicitating him on his election to the top political office in Pakistan.
"Thank you @narendramodi for felicitations on my election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan," Shehbaz Sharif had responded to Narendra Modi’s tweet.
"Congratulations to @CMShehbaz on being sworn in as the Prime Minister of Pakistan," Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in an X post.
