ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday ordered the authorities concerned to let former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi meet once a week.

IHC Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the appeal of former first lady Bushra Bibi to shift her from Imran Khan’s residence at Bani Gala, which has been declared a sub-jail, to Adiala jail to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

The Adiala Jail assistant superintendent also submitted a report of meetings between the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi on court orders.

The report further stated that 10 meetings have been held between Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi during the jail trial after January 31, and all the meetings were held on £190 million case hearing days.

Also, State Counsel Abdul Rehman and the Islamabad administration law director told the court that on the court order, the law director visited the Bani Gala sub-jail and submitted a report.

The court directed the public prosecutor to provide a copy of the report to the petitioner.

The IHC also inquired the officer who visited the Bani Gala sub-jail whether he was satisfied with the facilities provided in the jail.

The court also expressed its resentment at the Adiala Jail and Islamabad chief commissioner’s report for not shifting Bushra Bibi to Adiala jail and arranging her meeting with Imran Khan.

“This is all politics,” Justice Miangul Hassan said to the state counsel and ordered to let Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi meet once a week.

The court also ordered let Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi meet before Eid-ul-Fitr.

“How can the government declare someone’s private property a sub-jail?” the court remarked.

The court then adjourned the hearing of the case for an unlimited period.
