Lahore s Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Manzar Ali Gul delivered a reserved verdict in two May 9 cases against PTI leaders.
The court has sentenced former provincial ministers Mian Mahmood-ul-Rasheed, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, former Punjab Governor Omar Sarfaraz Cheema and Senator Ijaz Chaudhry to 10 years in prison each.

The Anti-Terrorism Court has sentenced Chief Organizer of the Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab, Aaliya Hamza Malik, and Sanam Javed to 5 years in prison each.
The court has sentenced PTI leaders in the cases of burning police vehicles and burning and besieging the Shadman police station on May 9.
It should be noted that the police presented a challan in court against 41 accused in the case of burning Shadman police station on May 9. Trial was held for 25 accused named in the case. Out of the named accused, 15 have been declared absconders while one accused has died.
A total of 45 witnesses recorded their testimonies in the case. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Omar Sarfaraz Cheema, Ijaz Chaudhry, Alia Hamza and Sanam Javed, among other accused, are named in the case.
Additionally, in the second case of burning police vehicles near Jinnah House on May 9, 65 witnesses recorded their testimonies. 17 accused were tried in the case, out of which 7 were declared absconders and one accused has died.
It is important to remember that in this second case of May 9, former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, former provincial minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid, former Punjab Governor Umar Sarfaraz Cheema and others were also named.
