Public transportation in the province of Balochistan is completely prohibited at night by the government.

Buses, vans, and other passenger vehicles are not allowed to travel on highways between 5 PM and 5 AM as of right now.

Authorities warned, businesses that break this regulation risk severe consequences, such as having their route permits revoked.

Muhammad Hayat Kakar, the provincial transport secretary, ruled over a meeting with representatives from several transport operators to finalize the decision.

Citing security concerns and the need to stop illegal activity, officials during the meeting reiterated the Home Department s directive prohibiting nighttime travel on all provincial highways.

Mr. Kakar confirmed that deputy commissioners have been directed to make sure the ban is strictly implemented in each district.

Additionally, transport companies have been ordered to post security guards, install vehicle trackers, and completely adhere to the government s anti-smuggling policies.
