PESHAWAR: (Suno News) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has advised Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to take the vote of confidence from the provincial assembly lest a no-confidence motion is moved against him.

After a meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Zahid Akram Durrani, Faisal Karim Kundi said while talking to the media that Ali Amin Gandapur has lost the majority, adding: “He should take the vote of confidence from the assembly.”

The KP governor said the two-thirds majority chief minister is shying away from going to his assembly, adding the assembly session has been postponed four times.

He emphasised that unity among political parties is necessary to achieve the rights of the KP province and solve the problems of the people, adding the current provincial government has caused irreparable damage to the province.

He said that in the southern districts of the province, people are avoiding travel even during the day, adding the highways are ruled by armed men.

He also expressed his displeasure that the environment of the universities has deteriorated and stressed that public universities should be brought to the standard of private universities.

He also pointed out that a bill should be presented in the assembly that ensures the education of the children of bureaucrats at government schools. “Without that, Pakistan cannot make progress.”

Zahid Akram Durrani said that contacting the political parties for the rights of the province is a commendable step of the governor. He added that the increase in unrest and public problems in the province has made the lives of the people miserable.

Earlier, the KP governor discussed political issues and the situation of peace in the province with Zahid Akram Durrani. He prayed for the recovery of former KP chief minister Akram Khan Durrani, the father of Zahid Akram Durrani.
